Update:

Canada Post's rotating strikes remain in northern Ontario again Thursday, where workers are on the picket line in North Bay.

The walkouts are taking place in various places in Ontario, Quebec and Saskatchewan.

In North Bay it involves about 50 workers.

The union says this bargaining impasse can be fixed easily.

“The corporation can stop this at any time by sitting at the table and getting to that negotiated contract.  As soon as we have that, we’re good to go, let’s go back to work, let’s fix this, let’s get going. It’s the corporation that’s stalling at this point, so it’s really all in their hands.” said Keith Bradford, President of Canadian Union of Postal Workers Local 576.

Canadian Union of Postal Workers has been staging rotating strikes across the country for more than a week.

The two sides have been unable to reach a deal after ten months of negotiations.

Last week, Ottawa appointed a special mediator.

Postal workers are looking for improved job security, an end to forced overtime and better health and safety measures.
