Cambrian College has a new logo
One of Sudbury’s post-secondary school has re-branded with a new logo that it says better reflects its image as a global institution.
Cambrian College unveiled the new logo to staff and students at a launch party earlier this week. The new logo includes two stylized letter ‘C’s forming the shape of two twisting shields. The previous logo has been in circulation for more than 30 years.
School officials told CTV News that an update was needed to better reflect Cambrian’s image in both physical and digital spaces.
The new logo includes two stylized letter ‘C’s forming the shape of two twisting shields.
“The two twisting shields represent innovation and the understanding and new perspectives that come with education,” said Cambrian in the news release.
“They also bear a likeness to the two ‘C’ letters in the college’s name, while the shield pays homage to the Canadian Shield upon which Cambrian is situated.”

“That’s what this new logo does,” she said.
“It’s based on how we feel about our people and how we feel about our students and it all coming together.”
Scott said that for Cambrian people are their brand.
“You’ll hear all the time, when you walk into this building you feel welcome,” she said.
“Someone is always smiling.”
