Bus company now offering service from Sudbury to other major Ontario cities
FlixBus, a U.S.-based intercity bus service, announced Thursday the launch of its new service to Sudbury.
“This expansion adds to the company's growing footprint in Ontario, providing customers with more options for affordable and convenient travel,” the company said in a news release.
“The new route will connect Union Station in Toronto to the Ontario Northland Terminal, located at 1663 Kingsway in Sudbury, with stops at Toronto Pearson International Airport, Parry Sound, Port Severn, Waubaushene, and The Four Corners in southern Sudbury.”
The service operates daily, except for Tuesdays.
With the addition of Sudbury, FlixBus connects riders to more than 20 destinations in Ontario, including major cities such as Ottawa, London, and Niagara Falls.
“The company's mission is to make travel accessible to everyone, and this new service to Sudbury will provide more options for travelers to explore the province at an affordable price,” the release said.
“FlixBus is known for its modern and comfortable buses equipped with free Wi-Fi, power outlets, and onboard entertainment.”
“We are very pleased to add Sudbury to the growing list of cities and towns in Ontario that FlixBus serves,” Richard Szeri, senior manager of network planning, is quoted as saying in the release.
“Customers in and around Sudbury can now enjoy convenient access to Toronto, including Pearson International, and transfers to Niagara Falls and the USA. We aim for FlixBus to become synonymous with bus travel in Canada.”
