Burger Wars competition returns to Sudbury in support of charity
A friendly food war is happening in Sudbury during the month of August among 30 local restaurants in an effort to support a new home for people with developmental disabilities.
The annual Burger Wars has returned for a fifth year in support of L'Arche Sudbury.
The Twin Stacks Burger at the Colonial Sports Bar is part of the Burger Wars campaign where $2 from every burger sold at participating Sudbury restaurants will be donated to L'Arche.
For each burger sold at one of the participating restaurants between August 1 -31, $2 will be donated to L'Arche, which currently operates three homes and a community participation support program.
L'Arche Sudbury is raising money to open a fourth home with 28 accessible units on Bancroft Drive to continue creating a world where everyone belongs.
There are three awards up for grabs: Best Burger, Most Creative and a Service Award.
Online voting is open all month.
