Ontario Provincial Police are searching for a man who has gone missing in Peninsula Lake in Huntsville.
Police say they were called to the lake around 5 p.m. Monday, August 19.
Officers found a female in a boat saying that her husband and son went into the water for a swim, but the boat floated away when the wind picked up and she was unable to get the boat started. That is when she called 9-1-1.
Several marine units, including the Canadian Forces Operational Planning Process, searched the water for the two missing males.
The son was found by other boaters in the area and brought to shore. He was taken to hospital, treated, and released.
His father has not yet been found.
Emergency responders searched until dusk and will continue Tuesday. The Underwater Search and Recovery Unit has been called in.
Huntsville OPP asks that boaters stay away from the search area.
