The upgrades began four years ago on were only recently completed. The changes include accessibility upgrades, new docks and the addition of a breakwall along with other upgrades.
Blind River Mayor Sally Hagman told CTV News that she estimates roughly $300,000 of work has gone into the beautification of the area.

“We just want to make sure everyone is safe – whether you are two or 102,” she said.
Hagman said that now when you're going down the docks and going into your boats, people are going to be comfortable and feel confident.
“It is a very much a win-win situation,” she said.
“And the town is quite proud of the landing and what has been accomplished.”
Town staff also said they have seen an uptick in visitors since the upgrades.
