1 adult, 3 teens charged in commercial break-and-enters in King Township

Investigators with the York Regional Police have charged an adult and three teens involved in commercial break-and-enters in King Township.

On Nov. 15., just before 10 a.m., police responded to a break-and-enter at a tow yard in the area of Highway 11 and Bathurst Street.

Officers on scene say three suspects allegedly entered the impound facility and stole three recovered vehicles.

Members of the York Regional Police Auto Cargo Unit and the Toronto Police Service’s Hold-Up Unit identified the suspects, who police allege have been previously linked to other commercial break-and-enters within the region.

Officials say the suspects were also involved in an alleged residential break-and-enter in the City of Toronto.

On Jan. 10., a 19-year-old from Toronto, two 17-year-old suspects from Newmarket and one 17-year-old from Aurora were charged.

Through those investigations, police allege a white BMW sedan was being driven by the suspects. Police believe this vehicle was involved in other commercial break-and-enters in the Greater Toronto Area.
