Barenaked Ladies returning to North Bay
Canadian rock band Barenaked Ladies is stopping in North Bay during its Hometown Holidays tour in December.
The award-winning group from Toronto returns to the Capitol Centre on Dec. 16, one of only two northern Ontario stops in the 14-city tour that begins in Vancouver, B.C. They play in Thunder Bay on Dec. 13.
"They will be rocking the Betty Speers Theatre at the Capitol Centre with a combination of BNL classics and hits from their Barenaked for the Holidays album. This show will be fun for everyone, so we encourage fans to buy their tickets early before they’re gone," said Dan Misturada, the centre's director of programming and events.
Barenaked Ladies' tour ends Dec. 22 at Massey Hall in Toronto.
"It's been a couple of long, cold, lonely winters, so let's have some fun," lead singer Ed Robertson said in a news release.
The group has sold 15 million albums worldwide over 33 years with hit songs such as "If I had $1,000,000" and "The Big Bang Theory Theme."
