North Bay's Canadore College is also closing early due to bad weather Thurdsay, February 7.
All classes, evaluations, events, appointments and reservations are cancelled.
Buildings are closed to non-mandatory personnel, but security will be on-site to ensure continuity of safety.
The campusesis expected to re-open on February 8 at 8:30 am, when regular operations will resume, however please continue to monitor local media and social media accounts for further updates.

Officials at Nipissing University have cancelled all classes, exams, events, and appointments on campus that were scheduled to begin from 4:30 pm onward on Thursday, February 7 due to inclement weather.
Everything beginning prior to 4:30 pm will continue as scheduled.
Employees who work in critical service areas are expected to report to work, but if you feel that your travel conditions are unsafe please contact your supervisor.
Normal operations are expected to resume February 8, 2019; however, the university will continue to monitor the situation and adjust if necessary.
