Airport Road in Timmins reopens after Saturday morning crash

The Timmins Police Service said Airport Road in the city reopened shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Saturday after an early morning crash.

The roadway had been closed between Lamminen Avenue and Westmount Boulevard for several hours while police investigated the collision.

“One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries,” Timmins police said in a news release advising the road had reopened.

Police have not released any details on the cause of the crash, the number of vehicles involved or if any charges are pending as a result of the incident.

CTV News has contacted the Timmins Police Service for more information about the incident but has yet to receive a response.
