Joey Slattery

Videojournalist, North Bay

Joey Slattery is a videojournalist with CTV News Northern Ontario in North Bay.

Before joining the CTV News team in February 2013, Joey worked for THE FAN 590 in Toronto as an Associate Producer for their morning show.

An avid sports fan, Joey also is the creator of the 'SIDELINED' web series which looks at sports cities through the fan’s lens.

Joey has reported on many of the major stories in the region – from the ORNGE helicopter crash to both the Ontario and Quebec elections. He also has covered the evacuations of First Nations communities along the James Bay coast.

While attending Laurentian University, Joey worked for KICX 91.7 as a newscaster and a member of it’s tail gate team. He also was the captain of the Voyageurs Lacrosse team for three of his five years of university. Joey graduated with a degree in Communications and also has a post-graduate certificate in Public Relations from Cambrian College.

Born and raised in Timmins, Joey is happy to be in the north reporting on the stories that matter to northerners.
