Alana Pickrell
ContactAlana Pickrell is a video journalist with CTV News Atlantic in Moncton.
She graduated with a BA in English and a diploma in journalism from Trent University and Loyalist College.
Alana originally planned to stay behind the camera, but was encouraged by a college professor to work on camera.
She won John Pettigrew Prizes, the Loyalist College Broadcast Advisory Award and the Belleville Intelligencer Award.
Prior to joining the CTV Atlantic team, Alana worked for CTV News Northern Ontario as the weekend anchor and a video journalist in North Bay and Sudbury. She also worked as a reporter in Thunder Bay for TBT News.
Alana is an animal lover and has a horse named Cedar and two cats.
She is fluent in English.
