SUDBURY -- At the end of the month, people in Sudbury will have a chance to hit the yoga mats for a good cause.

It's called the annual Sudbury Yogathon for Mental Health.

People are invited to Cambrian College on March 29 for a day of meditating, stretching and exercising for mental health.

The event is in its 5th year and the money raised supports services at the Northern Initiative for Social Action, known as NISA.

"The aspect of yoga is just finding a safe space to be yourself, to explore and grow and expand. And that really aligns with what NISA's vision is. So, when you enter NISA, it's a safe space where you can just be yourself, focus on your recovery and really finding meaning in that," said Emily Zanini, the event coordinator.

NISA provides services and programs people with lived experience of mental illness.
