Ontario Provincial Police in Mattawa say three people have been arrested and charged after police stopped a vehicle for speeding in Papineau-Cameron Township.

Officers say they were suspicious of the passengers in the vehicle and began an investigation resulting in the seizure of two revolvers, ammunition, drugs suspected to be ecstasy tablets, methamphetamine pills, cocaine, and cannabis, and a large amount of cash.

As a result, a 43-year-old woman and two men from Gatineau, Quebec, ages 39 and 41, are facing a total of 54 charges including possession of a restricted firearm to drug possession for trafficking purposes.

Police say, all three have been taken into custody pending bail at the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay.
