Ontario Provincial Police say an 18-year-old Sudbury woman has been charged with careless driving causing death following a fatal crash that happened on December 16.
The two-vehicle head-on collision took place on Highway 17 in the Markstay-Warren area, just west of Kukagami Lake Road.
53-year-old Carole Mantha from North Bay was killed in the crash.
The accused will appear in a Sudbury court on February 11th and if convicted, could face a fine of at least $2,000 or up to $50,000, and/or two years in jail, with a possible suspension of her driver’s licence up to five years.
