GREATER SUDBURY -- Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the disappearance of $100,000 worth of cows that escaped from a farm east of Sudbury.

Police say sometime between September 6 and 16, someone dissembled the gate of a cattle farm on Northern Central Road in Hagar.

They say this act of mischief resulted in 92 cattle escaping from the property.

The farmer told police that as of September 19, 71 cows, worth approximately $100,000, are still missing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
