Police in North Bay have broken up a three-person shoplifting ring that was targeting the local Walmart location in the city.

Police officials said three people have been charged with attempted theft and theft over $5,000.

Back in April, video surveillance recorded three people stealing razors, razor blades and oral hygiene products.

Police said the alleged thieves were using electronic equipment that blocked scanners at the store exits.

On June 2, the same people returned to the store and attempted to conceal items.

Walmart Security recognized two of trio and they were arrested by police on Highway 11, after leaving the store.

Police are not releasing the name of the suspects at this point, but officials said they are originally from Poland and they currently live in Mississauga.
