North Bay police officials have laid an additional 40 charges, against a local man arrested back in June for sexual violence and drug related charges

In a media release issued on Thursday, the North Bay Police Service said 14 more victims have been identified, which resulted in additional charges against James Larry Boucher.

"The initial investigation commenced after the accused and the victim met at a local licensed establishment," reads a statement from police.

"It is alleged the sexual assault occurred a short time after they left the establishment."

Boucher, 20, is charged with the following;

• 16 counts of sexual assault

• 11 counts of sexual interference

• 3 counts of choking

• 4 counts of luring a child under the age of 18

• 8 counts of trafficking a controlled substance

• 1 count of forcible confinement

• 1 count of assault

• 1 count of assault with a weapon

• 5 counts of breach of probation.

Police say the accused is currently in custody, awaiting a bail hearing
