Striking Ontario college faculty members who have been on the picket line for five weeks will begin voting on a contract offer Tuesday, November 14, 2017.

Twelve thousand professors, instructors, counsellors and librarians have been off the job since mid-October, leaving about half a million students without classes.

The colleges say the offer includes measures to address concerns about part-time faculty, but the union says it contains "serious concessions" that were not agreed to. Staff have until Thursday, November 16th to cast a ballot.

Results are expected the morning of Friday, November 17th.
