Police in Sault Ste. Marie have released the name of a motorcyclist killed in a crash this weekend.
Robert Michael Coutts, 50, passed away after suffering life threating injuries following a collision at the intersection of Allen’s Side Road and Third Line on Friday afternoon.
The Sault Police Service Police said investigators believe a 47-year-old man from Hilton Beach was travelling westbound on Third Line and failed to yield to traffic that was northbound on Allen’s Side Road.
As a result, police said that vehicle collided with a motorcycle travelling northbound on Allen’s Side Road.
The driver of the pick-up truck has been charged with failure to yield to traffic on a through highway.
