A 36-year-old woman is dead following a fatal single vehicle collision near Elliot Lake.
The Ontario Provincial Police said officers were called to the scene of the crash on Friday at around 11 a.m. It happened on Highway 639, about 20 kilometres north of Elliot Lake.
On Saturday, the OPP released the name of the Northern Ontario woman killed in the collision.
“Janice King, 36 years of age from Nipissing, Ontario, was transported to hospital where she was pronounced deceased,” reads a media release issued by the OPP.
“The investigation is continuing and further information will be released as it becomes available.”
